Johnson-Dietz stands on the site of what was once Bryan Hall, which was completely destroyed by a fire on March 27, 1985. The construction of Johnson-Dietz was completed within 19 months and is named for Clifford Dietz, trustee and honorary alum, and David T. Johnson, son of trustee and alum Robert A. Johnson. Johnson-Dietz is a popular living space for Franklin College students due to its suite-style design. Each suite is comprised of two bedrooms, a bathroom and a common room with large bay windows. In addition to 37 suites, the facility also houses the “Bubble,” a study lounge with windows for walls. Johnson-Dietz provides housing for men and women with 31 or more credit hours (cxcept students participating in the BOLD community).
