Coronavirus Update – August 31, 2020

Dear Franklin College Community,

We are excited to welcome our students, faculty and staff back to campus as we begin an exciting, though unique, fall semester.  Our success in mitigating the spread of COVID-19 depends heavily on everyone’s willingness to comply with the safety procedures and protocols we shared in our Return to Campus Plan earlier this month.  Franklin College is our students’ home away from home, and we want to do everything we can to keep them and the entire community safe.

We realize our campus community will not be immune from cases of COVID-19 as we reconvene, and we intend to be as transparent as possible in reporting data related to those occurrences.  To that end, we have established a table on our website which will be updated every Monday, beginning today.  It will track all confirmed positive cases within our campus community for the week prior and the total positive cases confirmed to date.  The chart is located at www.franklincollege.edu/coronavirus/ for your reference.

It is important to remember the College will honor and protect all pertinent privacy laws, and the reporting of COVID-related data will reflect that commitment.  This effort will help us all work together to keep the campus community safe, healthy and well-informed.  Together, we will #FortifyFranklin.

Sincerely,
