Applying as an International Applicant

If you’re considering applying to Franklin, we’re excited to have you and want to help guide you through this process.

How to Apply to Franklin College

  1. Complete the online application. If you are not a U.S. citizen, you may complete our online application or use the Common Application. You will be asked to indicate your country of citizenship when completing the application.
  2. Submit an official transcript from all secondary institutions attended.
  3. Submit official bank statement(s) displaying sufficient funds to cover the cost of tuition, room and board for one academic year.

You may also submit an official test score for one or more of the following exams. The submission of test scores is an option and is not required.
SAT: Average admit earns between 1000 – 1180 (New SAT)
ACT: Average admit earns between 20-26

International students are required to submit proof of English proficiency.  Any of the following test scores below is acceptable.

TOEFL: Minimum score of 79 on the Internet Based; 550 on the Paper Based
IELTS: Minimum score of 6.5
Cambridge English: Minimum B2 level
MELAB: Minimum writing 77, minimum speaking 3In lieu of an exam, applicants may complete the master level course with a passing score at either of the following language centers:
ELS: Complete level 112 with passing score
TLC: Complete level 9 with passing score

This examination requirement may be waived for students who have successfully completed substantial coursework in English-medium high schools or universities or for students who have satisfactorily completed approved English language programs such as Interglobal or ELS centers.
