CRRSA Emergency Relief Grants

On January 17, 2021, Franklin College received supplemental funding through the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations (CRRSA) Act enacted by Congress this past December.

Franklin College assures that no less than $535,937 of these funds will be used to provide Emergency Relief Grants to eligible students who have been adversely impacted by the pandemic resulting in the need for assistance to cover related costs/expenses such as tuition/fees, food, housing, health care (including mental health care), and/or child care.  The College has identified roughly 850 students who may qualify for assistance.

To be eligible for an Emergency Relief Grant, the applicant must currently be enrolled at Franklin College.  Per the CRRSA Act statute, distributions must be prioritized by demonstrated financial need.  To document a student’s demonstrated financial need, a FAFSA must be on file with the Office of Financial Aid.

The CRRSA Emergency Relief Grant Application is now available.  Students will need to select from two different distribution options:  Direct Payment (check) or Student Account Payment (distribution applied to the Student Account with the Business Office).  Please allow 2-3 business days for the application to be reviewed and processed.  Distributions will be processed on a weekly basis and may take 7-10 business days to complete.

The deadline to submit an application is Friday, April 9, 2021.

We are pleased to provide our students with this financial assistance as they and their families manage the challenges associated with this pandemic.

Please direct all questions to the Office of Financial Aid at finaid@FranklinCollege.edu.
