Recent Coursework

FRE 314 Contemporary French Culture: Students watch news coverage on the France 2 station, and lead discussions concerning current social issues in France.
FRE 334 Francophone African Culture: Students read literature written by North and West African authors, and also prepare presentations and lead discussions on contemporary films and filmmakers.
SPA 312 Pronunciation for Communication: Includes on-line conversation with native speakers from various Hispanic countries, such as Colombia, Ecuador, and Honduras.
SPA 313 Altruism and the Latino Community: Community service sites include:
Franklin Community Schools, Johnson County Community Corrections, Johnson Memorial Hospital, La Esperanza, Shepherd Community Center, Turning Point Domestic Violence Services, and WindRose Health Network.
SPA 314 Spanish in the Workplace: Includes guest speakers from Venezuela, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and the United States.
SPA 317 Hispanic Visual Arts: Includes visits to the Indianapolis Museum of Art and The Art Institute of Chicago.

The Modern Language House: French and Spanish residents can earn academic credit and promote language and culture on campus
