New Admissions Director Passionate About Preparing Students for Purposeful Lives and Careers

Ryan McclarnonFranklin College has announced the appointment of Ryan McClarnon as director of admissions at the college.

McClarnon brings more than fifteen years of experience as a college admissions professional to his new role at the college. Most recently, he served as director of admissions at the University of Indianapolis. While there, he led the admissions team through several years of steady enrollment growth, nearly doubling the institution’s overall enrollment.

“We are delighted to welcome Ryan to the Franklin College family,” said Thanda Maceo, vice president for strategic enrollment and marketing. “He brings the recruitment and enrollment expertise necessary to move the college forward, as well as a servant leadership approach for building a strong and successful admissions team.”

McClarnon earned a bachelor of arts degree in communication, public relations, and a master of arts degree in applied sociology, community leadership and non-profit management, both from the University of Indianapolis.

“I am thrilled to join Franklin College, which has a rich history and commitment to liberal arts education, and I share a passion for the college mission of preparing students for purposeful lives and significant careers,” said McClarnon. “I am deeply committed to placing my experience, talents and skills in service to Franklin College under the leadership of Vice President Thanda Maceo and President Kerry Prather. I look forward to leading the admissions team and working with members of the campus community, all of whom do transformational work, to achieve enrollment goals delivering on our promise to the hundreds of students and families we serve.”

McClarnon began working at the college on Dec. 9, 2020.
