The Franklin College Music Department will host its Spring Choral Concert on Saturday, May 7 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will feature performances by the FC Men’s Chorus, the FC Women’s Chorus and the FC Singers. The concert will be performed in Spurlock Center Gymnasium, located at the corner of Forsythe Street and Park Avenue.

The musical extravaganza will culminate in a large-scale production of “Song of Wisdom” by Joseph Martin, based on the popular book Old Turtle. The Douglas Wood’s classic story is a powerful acknowledgement of God’s supreme love for Earth and its inhabitants. The piece will feature the combined talents of the FC Singers and Orchestra, with narration by Franklin native Beverly Martin of Storytelling Arts of Indiana and formerly director of the Johnson County Public Library.  

The event is free and open to the public.
