Franklin College Theatre Department Presents “The Mistake on the Lake”
Events and Lectures

The Franklin College Theatre Department is presenting the hilarious dark comedy The Mistake on the Lake this April. The performances will take place at 8 p.m. beginning Thursday, April 25 through Saturday, April 27, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 28. All performances will be in Théâtre Margot in the Johnson Center for Fine Arts.

This lively play centers on Cleveland, Ohio’s BalloonFest ’86 and is a fictional retelling of a very real disaster. Four United Way of Greater Cleveland board members decide what event would help “rebrand” the reputation of the city of Cleveland, and then deal with the fallout of their terrible choice. Audience discretion is advised for language. This production is made possible by the Richard A. Harrison (’57) Visiting Theatre Artist Endowment.

This play was written by Trey Everett, a New York City-based playwright, author and musician. The play will be directed by K.T. Peterson.

General admission is $12. Admission for each performance is $8 for students and seniors (55 and older). Franklin College students, faculty and staff receive free admission with a valid Franklin College ID.
