Franklin College Alumni Council Welcomes New Members

The Franklin College Alumni Council has welcomed six new members into its ranks. Each began a three-year term as of July 1, 2021.

The newly elected members include:

Luke Bosso, a 2008 graduate of the college, resides in Indianapolis. As a student, he was involved in WFCI radio station, PreLaw Club and the men’s football team. He continues to volunteer as a classroom speaker on campus, as well as for the football team. Bosso received the 2019 Young Alumni Award from the Pulliam School of Journalism. He is senior vice president and chief of staff at Indiana Economic Development Corporation.

Kinsley Castro, a 2020 graduate of the college, resides in Indianapolis. As a student, Castro majored in philosophy, individualized a major in sustainability, and minored in Spanish and English. She was involved in Franklin College Pride Alliance, Panhellenic Council recruitment and studied abroad in Bulgaria and Costa Rica.

Derek Doddridge, a 2005 graduate of the college, resides in Franklin. As a student, he was involved in Interfraternity Council (president), Sigma Alpha Epsilon (president, treasurer, secretary), was a Student Mentor and played on the men’s tennis team. He is an Enterprise account executive at Emerge.

Laurie Hargrove, a 2014 graduate of the college, resides in Indianapolis. As a student, she was involved in the Black Student Union (president, vice president), Education Club, Student Congress and was a member of the women’s cheerleading team. She recently served as a panelist for an FC Black Lives Matter Week event. She is the assistant head of school at Sankofa School of Success at Arlington Woods.

Aubrey Magodlyo, a 2015 graduate of the college, resides in California. As a student, he was involved in Chemistry Club/Science Club, College Mentors for Kids, Habitat for Humanity, Economics Club, Student Foundation, Religious Life Team, Black Student Union, Math/Computing Club (executive director), Student Congress, and served as a resident assistant and a Student Ambassador in admissions. He was also a member of Kappa Delta Rho fraternity as well as Chi Beta Phi and Alpha Lambda Delta honor societies. In 2019, Magodlyo partnered with former FC professor Edward Chikwana to establish a pass-through scholarship to support international students, served as reunion chair in 2020, and in 2021 served as the GOLD (Graduates Of the Last Decade) Challenger during the #GivetoGRIZ campaign. He is a manager for product experience analytics at Facebook.

Karoline Park, a 2015 graduate of the college, resides in Carmel, Ind. As a student, she was involved in History Club (vice president), Pre-Law Club, Model United Nations, Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity (vice president, judicial chair, risk reduction and education chair), and she served as a resident assistant and Student Mentor. She was also a part of the women’s golf team. Park received honors with Alpha Lambda Delta, Omicron Delta Kappa, Pi Sigma Alpha, Order of Omega and she was a Branigin Scholar. She continues to volunteer as a speaker for student classes at Franklin as well as for sorority groups at Franklin and across the country. Professionally, she is the collegiate services manager at Zeta Tau Alpha’s International Office.

The Franklin College Alumni Council consists of not more than 30 elected members. Meeting four times annually, it carries out the objectives of the Franklin College Alumni Association and supports the college in its stated strategic goals as determined by the Board of Trustees.

The objectives of the Alumni Council are to support and promote the role of Franklin College in higher education by encouraging and coordinating activities of the alumni, engage alumni in the life of the college, and encourage lifelong connections between the alumni and students of Franklin College.
