Franklin College will host the 2023 National History Day in Indiana (NHDI) south region contest on Saturday, March 4 from 9 a.m. – noon. Projects will be displayed in the Johnson Center for Fine Arts and Old Main, with the awards ceremony to be held at 1 p.m. in Custer Theater in Old Main.
NHDI encourages students in grades 4-12 to explore history. Students may choose from a wide range of historical topics. They then research primary and secondary sources and analyze and interpret information. They will present their research in the form of papers, websites, exhibits, performances, and documentaries.
Those who qualify will advance to the state contest on Saturday, April 22 at Marion University.
