My ultimate goal is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to function as competent, skilled, and compassionate physician assistants. In pursuit of this goal, I will strive to ensure my students attain an extensive medical knowledge base, advanced critical thinking skills, and establish evidence-based best practices.”

How will PA students learn and practice clinical skills during their didactic year?

PA students will be taught physical exam skills in a traditional head-to-toe fashion at the beginning of the didactic year. As we progress through the first 12 months of study, students will refine and master their physical exam and medical history-taking skills during each body system module. Before the clinical year, students will be trained to perform specific medical skills such as suturing, casting/splinting, IV placement, lumbar puncture, etc.

In my spare time...

In my spare time I love spending time with my husband and children. We love spending time out in the yard, kayaking, horseback riding, fishing, and trips to the zoo/children’s museum. I also like to cook/bake and read.
