Franklin College’s Launch Program, an initiative designed to encourage success among first-year students, announced the Launch Mentors for the 2024-2025 academic year. Launch Mentors are upper classmen who have been chosen to promote academic, social and personal development for first-year students through support and guidance.
The students chosen to be Launch Mentors include:
Aubrey Allison, a sophomore from Covington, is a graphic design major.
Sarah Carpenter, a senior from Whiteland, is a biomedical science major.
Michiah Draper, a junior from Plainfield, is a sociology major and an art minor.
Celeste Edwards, a senior from Indianapolis, is a chemistry major.
Amy Garrido Portillo, a senior from Greenwood, is a political science major with a pre-law concentration and a Spanish and quantitative methods minor.
Adam Guth, a senior from Santa Claus, is a history major and a political science minor.
Olivia Mahoney, a sophomore from Springfield, Virginia, is a history and sociology major.
Kiara McGuyre, a senior from Clayton, is a psychology major and a neuroscience minor.
Cara Mullen, a senior from Carthage, is a political science and philosophy major.
Kendall Potts, a senior from Haubstadt, is a political science major and a Spanish minor.
Shea Reynolds, a senior from Austin, is a history, philosophy and political science major and a leadership minor.
Claire Sampson, a senior from Indianapolis, is an English and history major.
Riley Shaff, a sophomore from Franklin, is an exercise science major.
Clayton Shull, a junior from Muncie, is a public relations major and a Spanish minor.
David Sieg, a junior from Ramsey, is an exercise science major.
Easton Terry, a sophomore from Clinton, is an exercise science major.
Monica Velazquez-Cortes, a junior from Franklin, is a business-finance major and an accounting minor.
Nicholas Whitecotten, a junior from Greenwood, is an accounting and finance major and a leadership and data science minor.
