Mission

The mission statement of Zeta Tau Alpha (ZTA) is to make a difference in the lives of our members by developing the potential of each individual through innovative programming, which emphasizes leadership development, service to others, academic achievement and continued personal growth for women, with a commitment to friendship and the future based on the sisterhood, values and traditions of the past. ZTA has proudly been a part of Franklin College since 1927. The social activities of ZTA’s members range from sisterhood events and mixers to an annual semi-formal in the fall and a Formal in the spring. ZTA is always in pursuit of academic excellence with an in-depth scholastic program. ZTA offers women personal development and social fulfillment.

Events/Accomplishments

ZTA hosts their annual Pink Out games at athletic events and Big Man on Campus (BMOC) event every year to raise money for their philanthropy, Breast Cancer Education and Awareness. Other events held by the ZTA’s include the Dog Dash 5K, Think Pink Week, and annual participation in the Indianapolis Race for the Cure and the Indianapolis Colts’ Breast Cancer awareness game. Aside from organizing these events, the ZTA’s try to attend as many events on campus as possible to show support for the other Greek and student organizations. In 2017, ZTA was named the Chapter of the Year and was recognized for the Highest New Member GPA for Fall 2016. Members of ZTA were awarded New Member of the Year and Adviser of the Year. ZTA is also the honored recipient of some national awards.

Membership Requirements

Women interested in membership to Zeta Tau Alpha must have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in high school and be a full-time enrolled student at FC. Each woman must also be prepared to form many lifelong friendships and memories and to have some fun!
