Mission

Pi Beta Phi is a strong symbol of sisterhood. In cultivating sincere friendship, establishing the real objects of life, promoting the happiness of humanity and encouraging and assisting members in moral, mental and social advancement, Pi Beta Phi is also a symbol for the future.

Events/Accomplishments

The Indiana Alpha chapter of Pi Beta Phi at Franklin College is proud to be the longest running chapter on campus, as well as being the first chapter of Pi Beta Phi in the state of Indiana. The women of Pi Beta Phi are proud to host their annual philanthropic event Lips for Literacy (a lip sync contest) each spring. Along with those efforts to raise money for the promotion of literacy, members also participate around the community by adopting a highway to clean and they celebrate the birthday of Dr. Suess with children at the Franklin Boys and Girls Club with the men of Kappa Delta Rho. Pi Beta Phi was named Chapter of the Year in 2016. In 2017, our chapter was awarded the Spotlight Award, Highest Fall 2016 Sorority and Overall Greek Chapter GPA, and one of our members was named Sorority Woman of the Year. Our chapter has won Greek Week for the past four years.

Membership Requirements

Pi Beta Phi requires its members to not only uphold the fraternity’s values, but to be in good academic standing, be involved in other various activities or organizations and to be willing to be an active participant in sorority functions.
