Fraternity Recruitment

Fraternity Recruitment will take place September 10-19, 2018. The fraternities at Franklin College use a semi-structured recruitment where membership offers, or “bids”, may be distributed any time in the academic year after the fourth week of classes. Fraternity Recruitment begins on September 10. Each chapter plans its own recruitment events September 11-18 and will distribute “bids” starting on September 19 at the Interfraternity Council’s Welcome Night. Fraternity Recruitment will conclude with formal bid signing on September 19.

Any incoming student interested in fraternity life should complete the Fraternity Recruitment Registration Form.

Anyone participating in the fraternity recruitment process should look for a chapter where they feel the most comfortable. Fraternity membership is a lifelong commitment. All new students are encouraged to attend recruitment events, but it is important to remember there is no obligation to join an organization after registering for fraternity recruitment. Potential New Members are encouraged to attend each chapter’s recruitment events. These events are a great way to meet a lot of new people!
