Franklin College

The Right Fit

Maddie Cary '26 knew Franklin College was the place for her from her first visit.

Maddie Cary, a Spanish and psychology double major with a minor in nonprofit leadership, knew she wanted to attend Franklin College as soon as she toured the campus her junior year of high school

“I chose Franklin College because when I came on my visit, I immediately fell in love. I really liked the cozy atmosphere on campus, enjoyed all of the professors and was very impressed by their psychology program.” — Maddie Cary ’26

Cary is involved in numerous organizations on campus, from being a member of the women’s lacrosse team to being the chapter president for the Indiana Alpha chapter of Pi Beta Phi. Balancing academics, student organizations and athletics is very common among Franklin College students.

Cary, like many other students, enjoys the challenge the liberal arts program provides, the numerous opportunities for campus involvement, and the many resources available to support students.

“The school has done so much for me and surrounded me with good people. I am challenged academically, granted memories that will last a lifetime, and given opportunities I could never have gotten anywhere else,” she said.

Upon graduation in 2026, Cary plans to use her skills in psychology and Spanish to help younger students.

“I chose psychology because I want to be a school psychologist, and I want to be able to help people without a language barrier,” she said.
