Presidential Leadership Profile and Presidential Search Committee’s Next Steps
Campus News

Dear Franklin College Community,

As you are already aware, on October 21 and 22 Franklin College presidential search firm consultants with Isaacson, Miller came to campus to meet with stakeholder groups from across campus and the surrounding area.  The purpose of these meetings was to gain insight into Franklin College and its communities, to solicit feedback regarding the opportunities and needs of the college and to learn how they may translate into expectations for the college’s next president.

The meetings were extremely helpful. Certain common themes arose during these discussions. Those themes have been incorporated into the Franklin College Presidential Leadership Profile to be used in the search for the College’s 17th president. The profile is available on the Franklin College website at

Additionally, advertising for the opportunity is being placed in a number of mainstream, higher education publications, such as The Chronicle of Higher Education, Diverse Issues, Inside Higher Education, Journal of Blacks in Higher Education, Asians in Higher Education and Women in Higher Education.

In mid-December, the Presidential Search Committee will meet with representatives from Isaacson, Miller to review all candidate applications received to date.

We look forward to seeing the responses to the Franklin College opportunity and to sharing more information as the search progresses.
