Franklin College has announced the appointment of Kevin Honigford as its new vice president and chief financial officer.
Honigford was most recently the chief financial officer at the Ivy Tech Foundation, where he served since 2008 leading the foundation’s financial, investment and real estate acquisition functions. He helped steward the foundation through a period of significant growth and was named the 2015 CFO of the Year by the Indiana Business Journal.
Prior to joining the Ivy Tech Foundation, he was CFO of Community Trust and Investment, Inc., in Noblesville. He has also served as director of client support and operations at NNC Group in Indianapolis. After earning his MBA at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, Honigford enjoyed an 11-year tenure with Eli Lilly & Company, serving a variety of functions from financial analyst to manager of corporate business development. His professional career began as an auditor and tax accountant with Ernst & Young. His undergraduate degree in accounting was earned at Bowling Green State University.
“We are excited to welcome Kevin to the Franklin College family,” said Franklin College President Kerry N. Prather. “His more than 20 years of experience in business and finance will greatly benefit Franklin College as we continue forward with institutional growth and progress.”
“I am very pleased and excited to be joining the Franklin College community and becoming part of the Franklin family,” said Honigford. “The warm reception I have already received speaks highly of the quality of people I will be collaborating with to continue and enhance Franklin’s fulfillment of its mission.”
