College Announces Most Successful Fundraising Year in Recent History
Campus News

Franklin College announced its 2018-2019 fundraising year was the most successful in recent college history – specifically since 2006-2007 – having announced gifts totaling $4.9 million.  Additionally, annual gifting to the college’s Franklin Fund reached an all-time record high amount.

The office of development and alumni engagement raised $696,305 for the Franklin Fund, exceeding the goal of $650,000 for the fiscal year. The Franklin Fund total represents generous gifts made by trustees, alumni, faculty and staff, parents, community friends and corporate partners.

Franklin College is committed to providing an outstanding educational experience for each student, while maintaining a tuition rate that is as affordable as possible. The Franklin Fund is a critical piece of the puzzle and annual generosity of donors to the college routinely allows 93 percent of Franklin students to receive financial aid from the college.  Many students would be unable to attend college without this awarded assistance.

The remaining gifts were designated by each donor toward other areas of the college, such as its endowment, the creation of new programs, marketing initiatives or the Franklin College Science Center capital campaign.

“Franklin College, especially its students, are thankful to each donor for going – and giving – above and beyond with their generosity,” said Dana Cummings, vice president for development and alumni engagement. “The sustaining generosity of our donors is key to our students’ success at Franklin College and beyond.”
