College Alumna to Exhibit Artwork, Lecture

The Franklin College Department of Art will welcome Franklin College alumna Kelli DeMott Park to campus for a guest art exhibit Monday, Nov. 5 through Wednesday, Nov. 21. The exhibit will be on display Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Elba L. & Gene Portteus Branigin Atrium on the first floor of the Johnson Center for Fine Arts.

In addition, Park will present a lecture, “Indiana Courthouses: All in the Details,” from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 5 in the Henderson Conference Room on the second level of the Johnson Center for Fine Arts. A reception will immediately follow the lecture.

Park, a resident of Franklin, graduated from Franklin College in 1981, earning a degree in secondary education. She teaches art at Franklin Community High School. She was named a finalist for Indiana Teacher of the Year in 2013.
