Pre-Professional

Pre-Athletic Training

This program prepares students to apply to graduate studies in athletic training, including the Franklin College Master of Science in Athletic Training program. Franklin College offers accelerated 3+2 programs to complete a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in five years.

Pre-Dental

This program is based on the requirements of leading dentistry schools and prepares students to take the Dental Aptitude Test (DAT). Students typically add the pre-dental track to a biology or chemistry major.

Pre-Forensic Science

This program combines coursework in Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, and Sociology to prepare students for a Master’s program and career in Forensic Science.

Pre-Law

This program empowers students of any major — including math, history, sociology, business and more — to prepare to apply for law school. Pre-law students also benefit from extracurricular experiences like Mock Trial Team to engage in practice before applying to programs and taking the Law School Admission Test (LSAT).

Pre-Medical

This program is based on the admissions requirements for most U.S. medical schools and spans biology, chemistry, physics and social sciences. This program prepares students to take the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) and undergo the medical school application process.

Pre-Occupational Therapy

This program prepares students for acceptance into an occupational therapy graduate program and ensures students have taken all foundational and required courses before applying.

Pre-Optometry

This program is based on pre-professional requirements for admission to the Indiana University School of Optometry and prepares students for the Optometry Admission Test (OAT).

Pre-Pharmacy

This program prepares students to pursue a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (PharmD). Students can choose to complete a bachelor’s program or three years of pre-pharmacy study before applying to a Doctor of Pharmacy program.

Pre-Physical Therapy

This program prepares students to take the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) and pursue a graduate degree in physical therapy. Students on this track typically major in either exercise science or biology, though no specific major is required for acceptance into most programs.

Pre-Physician Assistant

This program prepares students to apply for physician assistant programs, including the Franklin College Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program.

Pre-Podiatry

This program prepares students to successfully complete the MCAT and apply for Doctor of Podiatric Medicine programs.

Pre-Veterinary Medicine

This program prepares students to apply to the Veterinary Medical College Application Service (VMCAS), an organization that facilitates the application process for students seeking entrance into veterinary school.
