“Guiding students through their academic journeys as they seek to better understand the natural world to learn about how our bodies function, and to explore careers in science and healthcare is not only my job, it is also my greatest joy. Students’ abilities to change the world begin with the building of a strong educational foundation and I am privileged to be able to support them in growing that foundation through my teaching, advising, and research activities.”

In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, crafting, reading, writing, playing games, drinking tea, and spending time with my husband, Jeff, our two dogs, Doppler & Ninja, and my friends. I also love trying new restaurants and coffee shops, traveling, and getting to explore the natural world while learning more about the diversity of people who inhabit it.
