I am not an accounting major, how will your course help me in my future career?

Even if you’re not an accounting major, my course will equip you with essential financial literacy and decision-making skills that are valuable in any career. Understanding the basics of accounting will help you analyze financial information, manage budgets, and make informed business decisions, all of which are crucial in today’s professional landscape.

What makes the learning experience in your course different than in other courses I will take?

In my undergrad accounting courses, I use contract grading to give students control over their learning. This method shifts the focus from grades to mastery, encouraging students to set goals, engage actively, and take ownership of their education. It fosters a more meaningful and motivating learning experience.
