Franklin College has announced the appointment of Ashley B. Hardy as director of admissions at the college. She replaces Tara S. Evans, who recently resigned.
Hardy brings a decade of experience in higher education to her role at Franklin College. Most recently she served Marian University as the associate director of admissions since November 2018. She began working at Marian in 2011 as an admissions counselor. She also served the university as senior admissions counselor and assistant director of admissions. Hardy also worked for Tulane University, serving as a liaison between the institution and Communities in Schools, a national organization that strives to empower at-risk students to stay and perform well in school.
Hardy earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Sociology from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Organizational Leadership, Higher Education Concentration from the University of Saint Francis. She holds professional affiliations with the Collegiate Information & Visitor Services Association, the Indiana Association for College Admissions Counseling, the National Association for College Admissions Counseling and the Starfish Initiative, which works to inspire, encourage and prepare promising, economically disadvantaged students for college and career success.
“I am excited to welcome Ashley Hardy to Franklin College,” said Franklin College Vice President and Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid Kate Coffman. “She is not only goal-oriented, strategic and a strong leader but she understands tuition dependent, small school admissions. She is going to be a great addition to the college and the enrollment team.”
