Step 1: Navigate to the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles online. In the top row of the grid of plate images, you’ll find an image of a Franklin College plate. Click the “More Info” button.

Step 2: Review the cost, eligibility and availability information on the page. A $25 group fee, which is distributed back to Franklin College, is charged along with a $15 administrative fee for a Franklin College license plate. The plate may be personalized for an additional $45 fee. After reviewing the information, click the “Renew Your Plates Online” button.

Step 3: When you get to the Indiana BMV’s “myBMV” page, you can either create or login to your account or choose the option to renew a plate without an account. If you choose to login, click the “Renew license plate” link. Scroll to the information for your vehicle and click the “Change my Plate” link. In the first drop down select whether you want standard plates or personalized. In the second dropdown menu, select “University.” In the third dropdown menu, click “Franklin College.”

Important Note: Under the image of the Franklin College license plate that appears, you must select the first option that allows the Indiana BMV to disclose your information to Franklin College in order for Franklin College to identify you as the donor and for you to be able to elect tax benefits for the purchase. See image below (click the image to enlarge). Once you have completed this scroll to the bottom and select “Click here to Add to Cart” and follow the checkout procedures.
