Upon completion of Year 3 at Franklin College, students meeting the following criteria may apply for admission to the Doctorate in Physical Therapy program at the University of Indianapolis. All prerequisite coursework does not need to be completed at the time of application, but must be completed prior to matriculation.

1. Cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or better
2. Minimum of one semester of an introductory statistics course
3. Minimum of one semester biology course with lab
4. Minimum of one semester of human anatomy with lab and one semester of human physiology with lab. This requirement can be met with a one year combined sequence (e.g. human anatomy and physiology) with labs.
5. Minimum of two courses in behavioral sciences; typical courses are in the areas of psychology, sociology, or cultural anthropology
6. Minimum of one year of physics with labs
7. Minimum of one year of chemistry with labs
8. Three letters of recommendation: one from a licensed physical therapist whom the applicant has observed in patient care, one from an employer, a course instructor in the major, or recent employer
9. Completion of the CASPer online assessment tool
10. Completion of an application through the Physical Therapist Centralized Application Service (PTCAS)

Franklin College students satisfying the aforementioned prerequisites and submitting all application materials by October 1 through PTCAS will be guaranteed an interview to the Doctorate in Physical Therapy program at the University of Indianapolis.

Upon completion of Year 3 at Franklin College, students meeting the following criteria may apply for admission to the Doctorate in Occupational Therapy program at the University of Indianapolis. All prerequisite coursework does not need to be completed at the time of application, but must be completed prior to matriculation.

1. Cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or better
2. Minimum of one semester of human anatomy with lab and one semester of human physiology with lab. This requirement can be met with a one year combined sequence (e.g. human anatomy and physiology) with labs
3. Minimum of one semester of an introductory statistics course
4. Minimum of one year of chemistry OR physics with labs
5. Minimum of one semester of general psychology
6. Minimum of one semester of abnormal psychology
7. Minimum of one semester of lifespan development
8. Minimum of one semester of sociology or anthropology
9. Minimum of one semester of medical terminology
10. Three letters of recommendation: One recommendation must be from an occupational therapist. Other recommendations should be from a professional supervisor, and when possible should include an academic source.
11. Completion of the CASPer online assessment tool
12. Completion of an application through OTCAS

Franklin College students satisfying the aforementioned prerequisites  and submitting all application materials by October 1 through a.) OTCAS or b.) through the UIndy application system if completed during the priority admit cycle in the Spring of Junior enrollment at Franklin, will be guaranteed an interview for the Doctorate in Occupational Therapy program at the University of Indianapolis.

Upon completion of Year 3 at the University of Indianapolis, students meeting the following criteria may apply for admission to the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program at Franklin College. They must have all prerequisite courses completed, in progress, or planned to be completed prior to January matriculation of their agreed upon cohort. Courses in progress or outstanding courses must be documented on the Outstanding Courses Form.

1. Minimum of cumulative biology and chemistry (BC) GPA of 3.4
2. Minimum of two semesters of general chemistry with labs
3. Minimum of one semester of organic chemistry with lab
4. Minimum of two semesters of general biology with labs
5. Minimum of two semesters of human anatomy and physiology with labs
6. Minimum of one semester of microbiology with lab
7. Minimum of one semester of general psychology
8. Minimum of one additional social/behavioral science course
9. Minimum of one semester of biostatistics or general statistics
10. Minimum of one semester of composition or communications course
11. Minimum of one semester of medical terminology
12. A minimum of 200 documented patient care hours under the supervision of a licensed health care professional
13. Three letters of recommendation: one from a professor/instructor, one from a physician or other healthcare provider, and the third from a writer of the applicant’s choosing. NOTE: The third letter should not be from a personal reference and you should avoid using clinicians you only shadowed as a reference
14. Completed application through CASPA

University of Indianapolis students satisfying the aforementioned prerequisites and submitting all application materials by the application deadline will be guaranteed an interview for the Franklin College Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program.
