Upon completion of Year 3 at Franklin College, students meeting the following criteria may apply for admission to the Doctorate in Physical Therapy program at the University of Indianapolis. All prerequisite coursework does not need to be completed at the time of application, but must be completed prior to matriculation.
- Cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or better
- Minimum of one semester of an introductory statistics course
- Minimum of one semester biology course with lab
- Minimum of one semester of human anatomy with lab and one semester of human physiology with lab. This requirement can be met with a one year combined sequence (e.g. human anatomy and physiology) with labs.
- Minimum of two courses in behavioral sciences; typical courses are in the areas of psychology, sociology, or cultural anthropology
- Minimum of one year of physics with labs
- Minimum of one year of chemistry with labs
- Three letters of recommendation: one from a licensed physical therapist whom the applicant has observed in patient care, one from an employer, a course instructor in the major, or recent employer
- Completion of the CASPer online assessment tool
- Completion of an application through the Physical Therapist Centralized Application Service (PTCAS)
Franklin College students satisfying the aforementioned prerequisites and submitting all application materials by October 1 through PTCAS will be guaranteed an interview to the Doctorate in Physical Therapy program at the University of Indianapolis.
