Franklin College Welcomes Ivy Tech Students

Ivy Tech Community College and Franklin College have partnered to offer students an opportunity to earn an associate of science degree in 11 months and a bachelor of arts in two years. This 1+2 opportunity offers students an accelerated, easy and affordable pathway to a degree in three years.

Ivy Tech students who have earned an associate of science degree in the Associate Accelerated Program (ASAP) or the Transfer as a Junior Pathway (TSAP) in a liberal arts cohort can easily transfer their credits to Franklin College. Students who complete their program with a 2.5 cumulative GPA are guaranteed admission to Franklin College and can complete a bachelor’s degree in two years in the following majors:

Additional programs are available at Franklin for completion over a 2.5-year or 3-year span.

Applying for admission to Franklin College is free and depositing to secure registration is $200. There is no additional cost to transfer. Ivy Tech students who want to take advantage of this opportunity should work with their Ivy Tech academic advisers to confirm their plan meets all requirements.

When Ivy Tech students transfer, they will be awarded 60 hours of transfer credit toward their bachelor of arts degree and will be required to complete an additional 60 credit hours at Franklin College. Students must also meet minimum grade point requirements for specific courses.

Students can further maximize savings on their degree by taking advantage of scholarships and financial aid at both institutions. At Franklin College, 99% of students receive financial aid. Students transferring from Ivy Tech receive an extra $1,500 per year in scholarships.
