Why Economic, Business and Accounting at Franklin College?

Internship opportunities

All students complete at least one internship during their time at Franklin College. These experiences give you the opportunity to engage in the workplace, build your skills, and discover what paths best fit your goals.

Hands-On, Real-World Experience

You will not just study business. You will work through it.

At Franklin College, you will collaborate in teams, analyze real business cases, and work with real data to make informed decisions. You will also have opportunities to complete consulting-style projects with real clients, applying what you learn to meaningful challenges.

By the time you graduate, you will have already done the kind of work expected in your career.

Proven Outcomes

Each year, seniors complete a national business knowledge exam. Franklin College students consistently score in the top 10 percent nationwide.

This performance reflects their ability to understand, retain, and apply key business concepts in meaningful ways.

Build Your Network

At Franklin College, you will build meaningful connections that support your career. Through student organizations, faculty relationships, and the Office of Career Development, you will engage with peers, alumni, and employers.

These connections open doors to internships, mentorship, and career opportunities beyond graduation.

Programs that prepare you for the marketplace or graduate school

You choose. Ready to start your career right away? Not a bad idea. Maybe look to earn an MBA later when that learning is even more relevant. Or ready to go on right away to grad school? You’ll have the quantitative, writing, and critical analysis skills that helps ensure your success whatever path you choose.

High Expectations. Real Support.

Faculty will challenge you to grow and hold you to a high standard while also supporting you as you define your goals and prepare for your future.

You will not go through this process alone.

Choose Your Path

At Franklin College, you can pursue a major in Business, Accounting, or Economics, with the option to add a minor in any of these areas or in Leadership, with more minors currently in development.

Business majors can further customize their experience through concentrations in Finance, Digital Marketing, Management, Accounting, Nonprofit Administration, Economics, or an individualized track designed around their goals.
