Education Technology Specialist

I began my career in P12 education as a classroom teacher. I found my passion in STEM education through leadership opportunities focused on preparing students for successful lives after graduation. I served as a STEM instructional coach and district coordinator where I supported teachers and students on their path to discovering authentic and meaningful learning for all. Since coming to Franklin, I have been able to work with the department of education on program redesigns and accreditation goals.
As a product of the program myself, I can attest to the quality preparation you will receive here at Franklin. We have a long history of preparing competent, caring, decision-makers. At Franklin, our faculty and staff support and encourage you along your path of becoming a phenomenal educator. It has always been a great time to be a Grizzly, but the innovative opportunities you will have now in the education department have never been better.
At Franklin, we are proud to offer a strong clinical field experience program. As a pre-service teacher, you are in the classroom early and often to gain invaluable experiences from partner schools and cooperating teachers. As a second-year student until you complete student teaching, you have numerous clinical field experiences of varying grade levels, content areas and socioeconomic demographics that prepare you for opportunities after graduation.
I love being outdoors. Hiking, camping, and canoeing are some of my favorite ways to spend time with family and friends. My husband and I also enjoy nightly dance parties with our two energetic boys at home.
