Franklin College High School Art Competition

Calling All High School Artists

Franklin College Department of Art is hosting its second annual High School Art Competition. We invite high school students (grades 9-12) to submit artwork for a juried exhibition in these categories 3D/Ceramics/Sculpture, Drawing, Graphic Arts, Painting, and Photography.

Digital submissions will be juried by the Franklin College art faculty. Selected artworks will be exhibited in the Johnson Center for Fine Arts on the Franklin College campus from Oct. 29 through Nov. 11, 2023. Cash prizes will be awarded for each category!

Key Dates

  • Oct. 2, 2023: Digital submission due
  • Oct. 13, 2023: Juried selections announced
  • Oct. 16-25, 2023: Delivery of accepted student artwork to Franklin College
  • Oct. 29-Nov. 11, 2023: High School Art Exhibition
  • Nov. 11, 2023:
    • Morning: Faculty Portfolio Reviews and Art Demos/Workshops. Participating students will also be eligible for Franklin College Art Department Scholarships of up to $3,000.
    • Afternoon: Closing Reception and Cash Awards
