External Scholarships for Graduate Studies

Franklin College encourages students to look for funding opportunities for study abroad and graduate school programs through external scholarships. External scholarships are highly-competitive awards given on a national level. The application process required for an external scholarship can be a lengthy, time-consuming and academically-challenging process, but the honor of representing Franklin College on a national academic level can be truly rewarding.

In order to be eligible to apply for an external scholarship, Franklin College students must complete the following:

  1. Meet with the Director of PDP prior to the campus deadline to receive a Franklin College External Scholarship application.
  2. Return the Franklin College External Scholarship application and scholarship specific essays to the Office of PDP by the campus due date listed below.
  3. Student materials will be evaluated by a Campus Selection Committee.
  4. If Franklin College approves the application for endorsement, the student will work with a faculty adviser to refine the application essays.
  5. The student will continue to work with the Director of PDP to ensure that all application materials are submitted by the national scholarship deadline.
