Franklin College earned multiple Top 10 distinctions for overall quality, value and social mobility in the 2027 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges Ranking Report in the Regional Colleges (Midwest) category.
The College earned the No. 5 spot among Best Value Schools and No. 7 among Top Performers on Social Mobility. The College also ranked No. 8 (tied) overall among Regional Colleges in the Midwest and No. 8 (tied) among private colleges in the category.
The No. 5 Best Value ranking highlights Franklin’s combination of academic quality and affordability. In determining this designation, U.S. News & World Report considers the cost of attendance for students receiving need-based financial aid in relation to a school’s overall ranking.
“Franklin College is committed to delivering an exceptional education that makes a transformational difference in the lives of our students and their families,” said Franklin College President Kerry N. Prather. “At a time when the cost of higher education is an important consideration, we remain focused on ensuring that a Franklin education is a distinctively valuable investment.”
The College’s No. 7 ranking for social mobility focuses on students who receive federal Pell Grants. This indicator measures Pell Grant graduation rates and graduation-rate performance among Pell Grant recipients.
Prather said the breadth of the recognition reflects Franklin’s continued focus on its students. “Our faculty and staff are fully invested in the success of every student, providing personal attention and opportunities that prepare graduates to thrive personally and professionally after college.”
