The Franklin College Theatre Department is presenting Qui Nguyen’s production She Kills Monsters Thursday, March 13 – Saturday, March 15 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, March 16 at 2 p.m. All performances will be held in Théâtre Margot in the Johnson Center for Fine Arts.

Agnes Evans leaves her childhood home in Ohio following the death of her teenage sister, Tilly. However, when she discovers Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, Agnes finds herself catapulted into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was her sister’s refuge. This high-octane dramatic comedy is laden with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres and ’90s pop culture, and offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all.

Instructor of Theater Scott Russell, M.F.A, will direct the production and choreograph combative scenes. Russell earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Belmont University and his Master of Fine Arts from the University of Arkansas. He joined the Franklin College faculty in 2023.
