The Franklin College Music Department will be presenting three holiday concerts from Dec. 5 through Dec. 7. All performances will take place in Old Main in the Clarence E. and Inez R. Custer Theatre. Old Main is located on the corner of Branigin Blvd. and Monroe Street. All performances are free and open to the public.

Instrumental Concert

The instrumental concert will take place on Thursday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. The Franklin College Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble and Jazz Combo will be featured in the performance. The ensembles are under the direction of Randy Greenwell, director of bands and head of brass studio.

Choral Concerts

The choral concerts will take place on Friday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. and Sat. Dec. 7 at 2 p.m. The Franklin College Men’s Chorus, Women’s Chorus and FC Singers will be the featured performers.

The choral concerts will be directed by Eric DeForest, D.M.A., assistant director of music. The choral students will be accompanied by Chang Shen on piano and a guest string ensemble.
