The Franklin College English Department will host novelist Cathy Day as part of its 2016-17 Visiting Writers Series. The Indiana-based creative writer will present readings, hold a question-and-answer session and sign books at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 2 in the Richardson Chapel.
Day is the author of The Circus in Winter (Harcourt, 2004) and Comeback Season (Free Press, 2008). Her stories and essays have appeared in Pank, Ninth Letter, The Millions, Sports Illustrated and North American Review. Day currently teaches creative writing at Ball State University and serves as the assistant chair of operations in the department of English.
The event is free and open to the public.
The series is made possible through a matching grant from Indiana Humanities in cooperation with the National Endowment for the Humanities.
