Returning Student Move-In Information
As a returning student, you will be able to check into your fall room assignment on Sunday, August 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Just go to the main office of the building you will be living in to begin the check in process and receive your room keys.
Not returning to campus housing: If you have decided you will not be returning to Franklin College or if you have changed your housing plans for the fall, please email the Director of Residence Life (email@example.com). Continuing students who cancel of their housing contract after May 10 (but prior to occupancy) will receive a $500 cancellation fee. After you have occupied your room, the cancellation fee increases to 25% of the contract ($1,420).
Early Arrival Policy
Only athletes, student organization members, and students with prior approval will be allowed to move in early. If you are involved with one of these groups, your coach or advisor will provide more details regarding your early arrival. If you would like to be an early arrival for other reasons, be looking for an email from the Director of Residence Life with directions and information about signing up to arrive before August 26.
Housing Software Change
https://franklincollege.datacenter.adirondacksolutions.com/franklincollege_thdss_prod is the new web address students will use to access all things related to Residence Life (be sure to update your browser bookmarks). This new site will utilize your Franklin College credentials to log in so you won’t need to remember a different username and password any longer.
Parking Permit Information 2018-2019
All full- and part-time students are required to display a parking permit when parking on campus.
Students may purchase their parking permit beginning August 13, during normal business hours in the Security Office, located on the lower level of the Napolitan Student Center. Parking regulations and a campus parking map will be provided when a permit is purchased. The cost of a parking permit is $50 per year and is charged to your account. No cash or checks are accepted.
Everyone should pre-register before getting a permit. Instructions with important information will be sent to your Franklin College email address in early August. Permits will not be issued without this information. Parking regulations are enforced year-round.
Visitors may obtain a temporary parking permit any time by contacting the security officer on duty at (317) 738-8888. When requesting a temporary parking permit, the requestor must provide their license plate number and the make of their automobile to the security officer. The security office is located in the southeast corner in the lower level of the Student Center.
Parking permit enforcement will begin on the evening of August 27 – the first day of classes.
Student Affairs new staff
Associate Dean of Students: Leah Howell
Dr. Leah Howell joins us from Bowling Green State University, where she has served as an Assistant Dean of Students since 2016 providing leadership for the Student Organization Development area, which includes all 350+ registered student organizations at BGSU as well as the Fraternity and Sorority Life Program. In this role, she directed the registration, training, funding, advising/support, advisor development, event registration and travel registration processes, as well as provided support to the areas of conduct and crisis response and the Sexual Misconduct and Relationship Violence Board. Prior to this, Leah served as the Program Manager for Fraternity and Sorority Life at the University of Cincinnati, as well as serving as an adjunct faculty member in the colleges of Education, Criminal Justice and Human Services as well as Arts and Sciences. She has also worked in academic support roles at Cincinnati, Davenport University and Eastern Michigan. She is a member of Omicron Delta Kappa and Alpha Psi Omega Theater Honorary. She is an alumna of Alpha Gamma Delta women’s fraternity.
Residence Life Area Coordinator: Veronica Roberts
Veronica Roberts earned her M.S.Ed. in Higher Education from the University of Pennsylvania, which she completed in May 2017. While studying at Penn, she worked in student conduct and advised the University Honor Counsel.
Prior to graduate school, Veronica lived and worked in Japan where she taught English in a Japanese high school and tutored younger students. Upon returning to the US, she worked for child protective services. Veronica graduated from the University of San Francisco with a B.A. in English Literature, minoring in Japanese, in 2010.
The Counseling Center welcomes all students who need support through counseling services.

“FC on the Town” is by the Center for Student Involvement. Engaging off-campus programs are sponsored every month in an effort to familiarize students with social opportunities in the community as well as encourage participation in weekend programming.
