Mission
The men of Sigma Alpha Epsilon at Franklin College strive to reach every ideal set forth by the national fraternity. They have been a part of Franklin's Greek experience for more than a century and continue to make contributions to both the college and to the community. They take pride in their strong brotherhood and academic achievements.
Events/Accomplishments
SAE holds a powder-puff tournament annually in the fall with all proceeds benefiting their philanthropy, the Children's Miracle Network. In the spring, the men participate in Franklin's Clean Community Challenge as part of their "True Gentlemen Day of Service." SAE's members are involved in a number of athletic teams including football, basketball and baseball. There are also members active in Interfraternity Council, Franklin College Radio (WFCI 89.5), Student Congress, Chi Beta Phi National Science Honorary, the Boy's and Girl's Club and Special Olympics. These men also hold a formal at the Embassy Suites North in Indianapolis.
Membership Requirements
A 2.3 G.P.A. is required for initiation into SAE. Being a member a Sigma Alpha Epsilon means that you are both a True Gentlemen and believe in the values of loyalty, honor, friendship and fraternity.
