Franklin College’s Presidential Search Committee has selected the firm of Witt/Kieffer in Oak Brook, Ill., to manage the process for the selection of the college’s 16th president. The search for the new president comes on the heels of a highly successful year for the college. It recently announced it has exceeded its enrollment goal for the upcoming fall semester and its Franklin Fund for Scholarships goal for 2013-14.
The search committee will immediately begin working with the firm to establish the qualities and values desired in the next president. The timeline details for the search are still being determined, but the committee hopes to provide its hiring recommendation to the board of trustees for a vote during the February 2015 board meeting.
The 12-member search committee is comprised of alumni, staff administrators, board of trustees and faculty members. Committee chair is 1982 alumnus and board member James V. Due, senior vice president of corporate and institutional services at Northern Trust Co. in Chicago. Vice chair is 1967 alumna and board member Susan Williams, retired president of Indiana Sports Corp. in Indianapolis.

Witt/Kieffer was selected following presentations to the committee by two firms.

President James “Jay” G. Moseley announced in May that he would retire from Franklin College effective June 30, 2015.
