Franklin College will host its 38th annual Grizzly Grand Prix team bike race on Saturday, April 29, on the streets encircling campus. Grizzly Drive, Branigin Boulevard, Park Avenue, and Monroe and Forsythe streets will be closed from 9 a.m. to approximately 3 p.m. to serve as the course for the event.
The women’s and co-ed race will begin at 11 a.m. and the men’s race will begin at 1 p.m. Both races are approximately 25 miles in length.
Food trucks, sponsored by the Student Foundation, will be offering a variety of selections for purchase. The college’s Student Activities Center will provide cornhole boards, footballs, volleyballs, giant Jenga and more for use during the event. The hub for most activities and spectators will be along Branigin Blvd., beside the Von Boll Welcome Center.
The Grizzly Grand Prix is sponsored by Franklin College’s Student Foundation.
The event is free and open to the public.
