Carl L. Boorky Endowed Scholarship
Leah Boorky recalled that her son, Carl, "spent four wonderfully enjoyable years at Franklin College. Mr. Boorky came to Franklin College after graduating from high school in Worcester, MA. In both high school and college, he was a quiet, polite student with intentions of attending law school. His varied interests included boating and navigation, swimming, skiing and a love of classical music and opera. Mr. Boorky graduated from Franklin College in 1972. Sadly, he died in 1976. Following his death, his parents established the Carl L. Boorky Endowed Scholarship so that his memory would live on at Franklin College, where he had been so happy.
The Carl L. Boorky Endowed Scholarship is available to any Franklin College student in good standing. The financial aid office selects recipients.
