SCHOLARSHIP BACKGROUND

Franklin College was founded on the basis of one simple, but undeniable, truth. Members of the American Baptist Churches realized that, in order for young people to be successful ambassadors of their faith, they must be educated. Based on that realization, they created Franklin College to provide a quality education based on values and morals with the intent of training leaders who could go out into the world. Those same qualities still describe a Franklin College education. And like the Baptists who founded the college, the members of Anderson First Baptist Church believe that the future lies with the education of young people. The Anderson First Baptist Church Endowed Scholarship carries on the tradition of educating members of the denomination.

Recipients must be members of First Baptist Church in Anderson, IN.
