Maurice & Rose Johnson Valedictorian Endowed Scholarship
SCHOLARSHIP BACKGROUND
Maurice Johnson graduated from Franklin College in 1914. His family has close ties to the college: His brother was a 1911 graduate, and their father served on the board of trustees. The Johnsons established the scholarship in their name with a gift of farmland to the college. The scholarship honors students who achieve academic excellence and wish to continue their education at Franklin College.
SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS
The Maurice and Rose Johnson Valedictorian Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students who graduate in the top 10 percent of their high school class. Preference will be given to descendents of Franklin College alumni who were members of fraternities or sororities. The financial aid office will select recipients.
