William & Ruth Kerlin Hibbs Business & Economics Endowed Scholarship
SCHOLARSHIP BACKGROUND
Franklin College graduates William Hibbs and Ruth Kerlin Hibbs had many successes in their lives following graduation, but they never forgot their alma mater. Dr. Hibbs was medical director of Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke Medical Center in Chicago for 45 years. Mrs. Hibbs was a celebrated and award-winning artist. Together, they raised three sons. Dr. Hibbs served on the College's Board of Trustees from 1952-1979. The William and Ruth Kerlin Hibbs Business and Economics Endowed Scholarship was established to reward outstanding students.
SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS
The William and Ruth Kerlin Hibbs Business and Economics Endowed Scholarship is given to an outstanding student majoring in business or economics. The recipients are selected by the chair of the department of economics, business and accounting.
