Dr. John and Mrs. Lois Tharp Endowed Scholarship

SCHOLARSHIP BACKGROUND

Established in 1998, The Dr. John and Mrs. Lois Tharp Endowed Scholarship recognized Dr. John Tharp '49 and Mrs. Lois Tharp for their commitment to education. The endowment shall provide scholarship funding to qualified selected candidates so they may pursue a Franklin College education.

SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS

First preference for the Dr. John and Lois Tharp Endowed Scholarship shall be given to a student majoring in science hailing from Johnson, Whitley, Delaware or Nobel counties of Indiana. Other students from these counties may be considered if no science majors have applied for that academic year. The Financial Aid Office shall coordinate the award.
