W.O.B. Cribbs Endowed Scholarship

SCHOLARSHIP BACKGROUND

Irene C. Divine graduated from Franklin College in 1927 and pursued a career in nursing. At her retirement, she was director of nursing at Biggs Memorial Hospital in Ithaca, NY. Wishing to honor her parents who had encouraged her, Mrs. Divine established the W.O.B. Cribbs Endowed Scholarship at Franklin College to assist deserving students.

SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS

First priority for the W.O.B. Cribbs Endowed Scholarship will be given to first-year students from the donor's hometown of Shelbyville, IN. Second preference will be given to other students from Shelbyville or Shelby County. Recipients must be full-time students in good standing with the college and demonstrate financial need.
