Greater Indianapolis Endowed Scholarship
In 1984, Franklin College celebrated its sesquicentennial. Many groups, including alumni, students and campus leaders, sought ways to mark the historic occasion. Franklin College alumni from the Indianapolis area wanted to celebrate the College's past by helping to ensure its future. More specifically, they wanted to encourage quality students from Indianapolis area schools to pursue their education at Franklin College. To that end, they created the Greater Indianapolis Endowed Scholarship.
