A group of Franklin College students studying athletic training won the 2013 Indiana Athletic Trainers’ Association Annual Quiz Bowl on Sunday, Oct. 27.
Chasity Wilson, a senior from Greensburg, Danielle Owens, a junior from New Palestine, and Christa Hendrickson, a junior from Crown Point, defeated 31 other student teams from eight other Hoosier athletic training programs. They will now move on to compete in the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers’ Association District IV Quiz Bowl, which will host teams from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio and Illinois.
This is the third time in ten years that Franklin College students have won the quiz bowl, which is designed with three rounds to test students’ knowledge of athletic training information. Each year the winning group receives the IATA Golden Scissors.
