Athletic Trainers (ATs) are healthcare professionals, recognized by the American Medical Association, who collaborate with physicians to deliver prevention, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. Demand is rising for these members of the healthcare team as the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) supports a 21% increase in job opportunities for ATs through 2024! This is compared to only 7% projected increase across all occupations.

“The MSAT at Franklin College is unique because it’s not a ‘new’ program. It’s been a first-choice AT program in Indiana and the Midwest for many years and continued to lead the way with the transition of the program to a master’s degree.”
“The MSAT is distinct because its liberal arts roots permeate every area of the program. We are seriously concerned with supporting our students to become thinkers and leaders in life, not just in their life’s work.” – Jen Austin, Ph.D., ATC; director of master of athletic training
