Health & Insurance
Good medical insurance, both here and abroad, is important. Do not drop your U.S. health insurance just because you have study abroad insurance. Remember study abroad insurance only covers you while away. You will need your U.S. insurance for follow-up care or rehabilitation in case of an accident or illness.
Visit your doctor or the FC travel clinic to receive advice on inoculations or vaccines needed before traveling abroad. Be sure to carry all your medications in their original bottles.
Know which health clinics are recommended for illness and where to go in the case of a serious emergency. Carry those numbers with you at all times.
Find out about local emergency services and how well they are trusted.
