Franklin College is committed to providing a comprehensive benefit program as an integral part of each full-time employee’s total compensation package. Health Insurance

Life Insurance
- Basic Term Life and AD&D funded by the College, equal to $50,000
- Eligible on the first day of the month following date of employment
Travel Accident Insurance
- College funded, equal to $50,000 while traveling on college business
- Eligible on the first day of the month following date of employment
Disability Insurance
- Long-term benefits available (after 3 months disability for staff; 6 months disability for faculty)
- Benefits is 60% of base salary up to $7,500 per month
- Provides contributions to retirement annuity
- Eligible after one year of continuous employment (waived if currently covered by previous employer’s disability insurance)
Flexible Benefits
- Pre-tax health and dental premium contributions
- Pre-tax spending account for out-of-pocket medical expenses
- Child and Elder care pre-tax spending account
Retirement – 403(b)
- Tax Deferred Retirement Annuity program with TIAA/CREF
- Optional Supplemental Retirement Annuity Program
- Employer contributions will be allocated to the individual accounts of qualifying participants each Plan Year equal to the sum of 11 percent of the qualifying participant’s compensation for the Plan Year up to $40,000 plus 15 percent of such qualifying participant’s compensation for the Plan Year in excess of $40,000.
Tuition Remission
- Tuition Waiver for employee (one class per semester, fall & spring)
- 100% tuition remission for spouse and children after one year of employment
- Tuition remission for dependent children at participating colleges
